29. Hungary Sakura Cup -2024- results

The 29th edition of Hungary Sakura Cup was concluded with a great success.  The eventhad 170 participants from 28 clubs from 13 countries –  Serbia, Slovenia, Italy, Poland, Romania, Austria, Croatia, Great Britain, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Japan and Hungary took part in the tournament. After so many years it was for the first time that the under 1st adult category was not organized. The event reached its peak in the number of competitors so that it was decided to focus on the younger generation only. Although two major categories was oragnized the tournament was packed with participants which is a great sign for future events.
Still six courts had to be in action in order to finish the event in time. H.E. Ms Hikariko Ohno, the Japanese Ambassador, accepted our invitation, who was also a kendo praticioner at an early age.

Lots of thank to all the referees who took on the responsibility of refereeing during the event and to the organizers for their tireless work. Without the help of the many volanteer such event in a grand scale would be impossible to organize.

Also, we would like to say thank you to our sponsors:
European Kendo Federation
VSD Kendo Klub, Dunakeszi
Nissin, Hungary
Mattel, Poland
Kawi Wróble, Poland
See you in 2025!
